How long have you been doing nail art, and what inspired you to start?
My name is Rin and I'm from the Detroit area, but I also spend a lot of time in Chicago. I've been doing nail art for a few years now and I think what inspired me to start was just trying new and different things. I starting wearing fake nails and realized there's a lot more you can do with them. I had to get a little crafty for the 'You and I' nails.

What did you use for the You and I mani, and how long did it take you?
I filed and shaped multiple plastic glue-on nails and arranged them in rows for each finger then, after painting them, I glued some together with sturdy wire, left one "broken", and used eyelets to hinge together the others; to replicate Gaga's robotic nail look.

What was it like doing "non-functional" nails? Did it last?
I only wore them for a few minutes to take photos, but it was a really odd sensation having nail tips that long!

What is one nail art product/tool/supply you couldn't live without?
The one product I couldn't live without would be the fake nails that I use. I work in culinary, so being able to take my nails off and have clean hands is a 'must'.

Is there any Gaga look you want to try, but haven't yet?
I would love to replicate some of the nail designs that Gaga has worn on her "severe almond" shaped nails but, since I don't use acrylics, I haven't found a good way to replicate the shape yet.

What is it about Gaga that inspires you?
I strongly admire the person she is, both with and without the fashion. She's not only a huge inspiration for nail art, but also--and maybe more-so--she's an inspiration for just 'being'. When I started my blog I thought it would be amazing to influence just one person, and now I get messages and photos all the time from fellow Monsters showing off their nail art. It's so amazing and flattering to me. My fellow fans have become as inspirational to me as the Lady herself is! (Thank you so much again for the support! xo)

Thank you, Rin. Keep up the good work!
